Lake District Baggage Transfer offers a luggage transfer service to walkers and cyclists across the Lake District. Based in Kirkby Stephen, the team makes all the luggage transfer arrangements for you, thus creating a supportive backdrop to your self-guided trip.
Lake District Baggage Transfer was founded in 2020 by lifelong walking friends Chris and Simon, who saw the ever-increasing demand for a standalone baggage transfer company, supporting individuals on their journey through the Lake District. Since then, they have supported thousands of walkers and cyclists.
Today, Lake District Baggage Transfer is owned by PHSV Ltd, leading operators across the UK, for baggage transfers.It supports and compliments the other walking and cycling businesses in the Group.

To relieve walkers, runners and cyclists of some of the organisational and logistical challenges of their trip, leaving them free and relaxed to enjoy the splendour of the stunning Lake District.

Where
we operate
The core walking routes the business fully service include the Cumbria Way, the Lake District Circuits and the Westmorland Way, but also many other bespoke routes within The Lake District, The Eden Valley and North Pennines.
The Logistics
Our drivers pick up your bags from your accommodation from 8.30am each morning and aim to deliver them to your next accommodation by 4.30pm, road and traffic conditions permitting. All you need to carry with you are your essentials, allowing you to enjoy your day without being encumbered by big, heavy bags.
It’s an uncomplicated and efficient service. It has a flexible workforce with a 'can do' attitude to delivering successful customer service.
